1. How do I join
the Crew?
Answer: Before you apply make sure you meet the criteria to join
the crew by clicking

2. What do "Crewbies" do?
Answer: Crewbies (aka Crew Members) are volunteers that assist the
Greeter Staff with teaching new members how to play the game,
supporting members by answering basic game related questions,
and by hosting or partaking in the many events that take place in
vMTV. They may also promote vMTV Sponsorships and other special
programs.
3. What if I find a "Crewbie" acting
inappropriately?
Answer: Crew members are held to the same standards as everyone
else. If you witness a Crewbie being inappropriate
(cursing, harassing, abusing host rights, etc) please take a
screenshot of it. You can host this screenshot on one of
many free photo-sharing sites (www.photobucket.com).
Once hosted, email the URL to their Greeter. We will never
disclose where our information was coming from so please do not
be afraid to report someone. You will remain anonymous.
4. What are
the behavior guidelines that the Crewbies must abide by?

5. When does the Crew Store open?
Answer: You may have noticed a link to the "Crew Store" when you
join the club. This store was an idea that never came to
fruition. It's currently empty and houses no items. We may allow
people access to promoter items there in the future - but for
now, it shall remain inactive.
6. What is the current payout scale for Crew?
Answer: You can see the current list of payouts on the "Submit
Information" page by clicking

1. Why won't the
video page's open?
Answer: You may have a pop-up blocker that stops the window from
opening. Most pop-up blockers allow you to over-ride their
decision to block by holding CTRL button while you click the
link. You may also opt to add
www.thepatchcrew.com to the list of "safe
sites" to allow pop up's from. We do not have any
advertising on our site, you will never get a ad-pop-up.
2. Why won't video's play for me?
Answer: The video's stream through an Adobe Flash player. It
is recommended to have the latest version of Flash installed.

uninstall before downloading and installing the new version.
3. I don't see the video I'm looking for, what
do I do?
Answer: The video you're looking for may not be added yet. If
you have an idea for a help video please email Greeter_Nep (greeter_nep@vmtv.com)
or IM him in game. Not every video will be made seeing as
they take time to create, but we will do our best.

5. Is anyone allowed to view the Crew Central
section?
Answer: Yes! Everyone is allowed to peek through the MTV_Patch_Crew
"Crew Central" to get information about what we're doing.
Nothing in there is private it's simply another section of our
website dedicated to the Crew so they can get the information
they need.
6. What is Crew Central?
Answer: Crew central is just another section of our site dedicated
to the Crew. This is where they can come to get specific
information about the Patch Crew and things they need to know to
complete their duties.

3. How do I get support for a technical issue?
Answer: Currently there is no Live Help for technical issue's.
All technical issue's should go through email at
support@vmtv.com. When emailing try
to have as much information about the problem you're encountering.
If you receive any error messages/codes please include those in
the email. If you're having video problems you may even
want to take a screenshot and send it along to support as well
so they can see the problem the same way as you do.
4. How do I find my chat logs?

5. I added a member created content to my
game (ie a compass' such as DoJo or Lagunian, macro programs
such as giggles) and now I'm having problems, will support help
me?
Answer: No. Game additions are prohibited according to the
TOS. Although vMTV Support will not actively go searching
for members whom have client modifications they also will not
offer any support for a problem that is the result of one of
these add-ons. Remember, if vMTV does not created, they
will not support it.

1. What is vMTV
(MTV's Virtual Worlds)?
Answer: vMTV is a 3D gaming environment made for fun, fun and more
fun! With endless possibilities vMTV is more of a virtual
community than a game.
2. How do I know if someone is a vMTV Employee
or just a poser?
Answer: Not all of the employee's at vMTV have avatar names that
begin with a title such a "Greeter_" or "Helper_"
but they will ALL have an MTV symbol next to their name.

claims to be a celebrity always use caution, there are many
posers out there!

7. How do I earn money?
Answer: Most of the experiences in vMTV are free. To
experience the next level of gaming has to offer you may need
some extra cash. To see the different ways to earn money
you can click the dollar sign ($) on the toolbar. The
fastest way to get that extra money would be to purchase it. You
can attain a few extra bucks by doing a Challenge, or skilling
up.
8. How do I participate in the Developer
Program?

9. Where can I find a house available for rent?
Answer: To find houses available for rent click "Find" then "Find
Places" from your toolbar in game. Click the option along
the top of the game to "Search all zones in vMTV." Check
the box to only show zones available for rent and click search.
Tip: Sometimes when a member is selling their house they'll put in
the name or description "For Sale!" If you search for Sale
without checking the box "only show those available for rent"
you may find a member selling their property OR check the
Marketplace in the vMTV Official Forums!
10. How do I get a job in vMTV?
Answer: There are no official jobs in vMTV that you will get
MTVBucks for. Some members may pay MTVBucks to complete a
task for them, that is their choice. Don't believe just
anyone, you should research to make sure that you are doing work
for a reputable person first.
11. How do I view my inventory?
Answer: Click "My MTV" > "My Closet" > "My Stuff"
12. How do I change my clothing?
Answer: Click "My MTV" > "My Closet" > "My Clothes"
13. How do I hold a cell phone?
Answer: You can hold a cell phone in your hand while you're in an
IM. To turn this feature on click "My MTV" > "My
Preferences" > "Hold a cell phone when in an IM"
14. How do I find a new hang out?
Answer: Click "Find" > "Find Places." You can see a list of all the
hot spots in vMTV and teleport right to them!
15. How do I organize my inventory, clothing,
favorite places, etc?
Answer: Organizing your inventory, clothing, and favorite
places can make your life in vMTV much more ... well, organized!
If you click "Organize" under My Closet, My Favorites, or Buddy
List you can organize your objects into a certain order, or
create folders/sub-folders to organize your object's. This
can be very helpful with clothing, particular groups of buddies,
or favorites in particular area's.
16. How do I place someone on ignore? How do I
take them off?
Answer: Click the yellow Hard-Hat symbol on the toolbar. From
there you can choose "Add Ignore" or "Remove Ignore."
17. Everyone is bouncing, what do I do?
Answer: With the separation of the "Virtual Worlds" into different
clients some members are experiences an excess of lag and video
issue's. To download a "Full" client issue that takes care
of many of these lag issue's please click

18. Everyone is solid white, or solid black.
What do I do?
Answer: This could be an issue with your video card and/or the
drivers. If you are not sure how to update or check either
of these please contact Support for technical advice. (See
About Support: How do I get support for a technical issue?)
19. I can't see or hear any video's, how do I
fix this?
Answer: The game can run in either Dx8 or OGL modes. (To
check which one you're running, open the game and look at the
top, does it say "vMTV Dx8" or "vMTV OGL?") Video/Audio will not
function properly in OGL. Use the MTV's Virtual Worlds
Tweaker to change this.

20. I can't hear music playing in game, how do
I fix this?
Answer: Check to make sure that your sounds in game are turned up.
Click "Media" > "My Preferences" > "Volume."
If it is, try turning it on and off by using the Music HUD in
your preferences. If this still does not fix the issue there may
be a bigger problem. You should contact support. (See About
